We are excited to announce our next HealthTech event to be held at ATP Innovations, Eveleigh.

Funding accelerates growth and delivery of your company and product. This event is dedicated to discussing the “HOW” and “WHERE” to get this scarce resource in Australia.

On this evening we present the three types of funding available:

  • Public Government Funding
  • Private Funding
  • Crowdfunding

This seminar and networking event demystifies the application and review process, streamlines your priorities, and garners you an idea of your success rate with the different streams. It is ideal for those working in research, in startups at all stages of growth, and in large corporations looking to learn about how funding channels drive innovation in technology and sciences.

We have secured 3 great speakers as follows:

Elliot Briels – Director of Hunter & Briels

Hunter Briels is a grants consultancy specialising in technology companies. Elliot is the director and has a background in technology startups and business law. He will be describing the available grant programs and their respective success rates for the health sciences and technology companies, as well as strategies on improving grant success rates.

Dr Ben O’Neill – Founder and Chief Scientist of Thinkables

Thinkables is an Australian public crowd funding platform for medical and science research. Ben is a leading oceanographer and has been a researcher for nearly twenty years. After working as a research scholar at Princeton University and Paris IV, the idea for Thinkable comes out of Ben’s frustration over the lack of funding for basic research and a passion for blue-sky thinking. It’s mission is to connect the world with scientific research and fund transformative new ideas.

Topaz Conway – Commercialisation Advisor

Topaz is a Commercialisation Advisor and Chair for PAFtec Australia, Springboard Enterprises Australia and Biothoughts Pty Ltd. She has extensive experience in market and commercialisation strategy. She will cover funding available from AusIndustry via the Accelerating Commercialisation fund and R&D Tax Incentive program.

Hope to see you all there!
