“A lot of times, people don’t know what they want until you show it to them” – Steve Jobs
Execution is an element, which differentiates success stories from failures. It takes a lot of courage to develop your idea. You will face indifference and cynicism, and the only way to find out your limits is to do your best.
Rises in health care costs; a rapidly ageing population and digitalisation motivate us to improve healthcare delivery. If you have a product or technology idea that has the potential to make a significant difference to people’s health, ide Group together with HealthTech Sydney invite you to APPLY to present your idea at Vivid Ideas Exchange.
The winner of the event will be awarded $25,000 worth of product design & development support, including the opportunity to develop their idea into a commercially viable reality, on site at The Connectory.
The Connectory is a place where medical technology design and entrepreneurship come together. A place, where ideas can flourish and grow into new organisations and businesses. It is also the home of ide Group, providing occupants with ready access to ide Group capabilities and facilities, including design, development and commercialisation resources and advanced manufacturing capabilities for 3D printing, prototype fabrication and pilot assembly.
Entries are now open and will close Friday 29 April, 2016.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in May, 2016.
To be eligible for the winning prize, applicants must be available to pitch their idea, in person, at the Building Better Futures for Health: A Product Design Challenge event. The event will take place during the Vivid Ideas Exchange sessions held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia on Thursday 2 June, 2016, as part of Vivid Sydney, the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas.
This competition is open to any individual or startup with a health innovation product idea that has not yet been made commercially available. ide Group are the final arbiters of the winner and no correspondence will be entered into.
